Item was packed well and there was zero damage to it. It took less than an hour to put the unti together. The cabinet is a fairly sturdy piece of furniture, but has a slight wobble. That said, I only need it to sit there and look nice. It accommodated my 1000w UPS, Onkyo surround sound receiver, DirecTV box and Samsung blu-ray player with plenty of room to spare. They probably could have included one more shelf for the interior (Probably could have fit the Xbox 360 in there, too, but it needs plenty of air circualtion).
Cable management is made simple by there being a small gap between the shelves and the back panel. This makes it easy to connect power cords, HDMI cables and other cables within the cabinet. There are large gaps in the back panel at each shelf level to run cables out of the cabinet. I have 8 speaker wires, 2 RG-6Q cables, 1 HDMI cable, 1 power supply connection and a few ethernet cables run through the back to connect to... Read more

The packing was impressive!
I ordered this as the companion piece to the matching 48" TV table. Both items were easy to assemble and went together in less than 2 hours. The only problem I had with this piece and also with the TV table were some of the holes for the cam mechanism. They were either too shallow or narrow and had to be slightly enlarged to get the cam mechanism in place. Otherwise, everything fit perfectly and the result is a very solid and sturdy audio cabinet. I really did only need a couple of screwdrivers, but broke down and used a small power screw driver for all those little screws on the backing.
I have prior experience in putting together mail order furniture. If you haven't, you might find the instructions a little challenging. I think they could be more detailed. Otherwise, this is really a handsomely designed piece of... Read more

The bottom shelf was damaged, but the company responded quickly to replace. I gave this a 3 star because it was the most difficult piece of furniture I have assembled and I have assembled quite a few. It came with cams and unless the screw to which it connected was absolutely straight and in the absolutely correct position, the cam would not screw in. Or at least I think that was the problem. It may also have been that the factory holes were off. After much frustration, I ended up not using one of the cams. Since I already had so much assembled, I wasn't going to wait for the company to send me another piece. I already had the pieces scattered in my living room too long waiting for the first replacement.
Otherwise, the stand seems to be made of pretty solid materials. It is quite heavy and is well designed for all those wires one has with components. I like it a lot better than my previous component stand which had... Read more
