I wanted something small, so extra shelves was a nice bonus. My husband and I use the extra shelves to store our laptops. If your laptop is bigger than 14" it will not fit between the posts. My only complaint is that since you have to put it together, it can become loose and rocky. If you retighten the screws your back in business. The veneer has held up nice and hasnt scratched off either. I have to say that this table has lived up to its expectations. All in all, I would buy this product again.

Simple style, a look of quality and heavy. The price is right. Now, putting it together...Typically bad instructions, hard to screw holes and not quite" ready for assembly." I timed it so that I would be putting it together while another larger piece was being assembled by professionals. Even they could not get the screws in with their power tools, without stripping them. I had to go out and buy a drill for a hundred dollars to redrill the screw holes a bit deeper in order for the screws to drive in all the way in. I still used the drill to sink some of them in tight, though on one of them I went too far and the head of the screw broke off. I tried to pull it out with pliers, but was unsuccessful. Luckily it was only one, so it didnt matter much. Other screws could only be driven manually with a very short philips head, due to the logistics of the table, which was quite difficult, but doable. I like the style of it. I put it together by myself and it probable took me an hour. Was a little difficult to put together because it was tough to get the screwdriver at the right angle to screw the screws in but it is together and will probably stay that way! It was inexpensive but doesn't look it. M in DSM
