Not super comfortable for a big guy, May 15, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Basyx VL712MM10 VL712 Mid-Back Mesh/Fabric Swivel/Tilt Chair (Kitchen) I got this for work and after about two days of fighting it, I gave it to someone else. For me, it just didn't feel right. Granted, I am a big dude, 6' 4", 275 pounds, so maybe it just isn't designed for someone my size. The lady I gave it to seems to like it, that's why I gave it three stars instead of one because I think it just wasn't made for people my size. Hope this helps a fellow large human!

- Easy to assemble
- I like how all the metal screws go into metal ends, instead of plastic ends that may strip
- what is plastic is a very hard and sturdy
- You can even use the chair without the arms if you want to take them off
- Because the cushion is fabric, it is much warmer than if the cushion was also mesh. . .but you pay a lot more for all mesh chair
- My wife is concerned about the fabric wearing out over time before anything else goes wrong, so she's sitting on a thin pillow she put laid loosely on top of the chair's cushion. This does prop her up higher, but she's just lowering the chair further to get the correct height for her desk
- The chair's cushion is very thick and padded. . .I find it pretty comfortable

It took about 30 minutes to put this chair together, and while doing so I could clearly see that this was a well-made chair and was going to be able to take a lot of abuse. More screws were used to hold this chair together than what came with the bigger and more expensive chair i already have. Everything is included in a sealed package that you will need to put this together even a wrench.
The seat is a little itchy on bare legs and the un-padded (or rather they are padded but not in the traditional sense, )arms are somewhat uncomfortable since they are concave (yet this is perfect for keeping your arms in a perfect position for typing), but this isn't a chair made for lolling in leisurely, this is a workhorse of a chair. Not only is the height of the seat adjustable but so are the arms and this is a first for me.
